0.6 Vanilla Afterglow by Tenth Muse is a solid perfume in which the vanilla scent evokes warm skin rather than cake batter.

Bergamot and orange provide a bright opening, lending the vanilla a touch of freshness right from the start. The heart contains amber, tonka bean and sandalwood, which give the fragrance a well-rounded, softly woody quality, with the tonka bean adding a hint of caramel. Vanilla and musk linger close to the skin until the very end. The citrus notes keep the fragrance light enough to be pleasant to wear even on warm days.

The balm is based on shea butter, jojoba oil and beeswax, and is alcohol-free. It melts on application, staying closer to the skin than a spray. According to the manufacturer, the fragrance lasts for six to seven hours. One refill lasts around three months with twice-daily application. A case is not included, but the balm fits into the Tenth Muse metal case, which is available separately in five beautiful colours.

Warm the balm briefly between your fingertips and dab it onto your wrists, neck or behind your ears. Thanks to its compact case, the fragrance fits in any bag and can be reapplied throughout the day.
