Don't seal. Rebuild. esse M20 Barrier Rescue helps the skin restore its own lipid barrier. This rich cream was developed for very dry, sensitive and reactive skin that feels tight, flakes or turns red easily.

Ceramide NP, also known as ceramide 3, is one of the lipids the skin barrier is naturally made of, and replenishes this lipid matrix. According to esse, propionic acid reduces transepidermal water loss and supports a balanced skin microbiome. Castor oil, rich in ricinoleic acid, calms visible redness and sensitivity. Prebiotics and lactobacillus ferment, jojoba oil, squalane and aloe vera complete the formula.

According to esse, transepidermal water loss decreases by 10.7% after 28 days of use.

Barrier Rescue is particularly useful when skin dries out during the heating season, reacts after retinol use, or, as mature skin, produces little sebum of its own. The cream can be used on face and body.

Gently apply a small amount to dry or flaky areas of the face or body without rubbing. Reapply as needed. In the morning, follow with sunscreen on the face.
