Linoleic acid rebuilds and hydrates the topmost layer of the skin. Oleic acid helps the coffee oil penetrate the skin for greater efficacy, while palmitic acid helps form a protective barrier on the skin and has a moisturizing effect. The phytosterols found within coffee oil contribute to the oil’s anti-inflammatory effect, as well as help promote the regeneration of UV-damaged skin. Due to its high anti-inflammatory properties, coffee oil can be used as an under-eye serum to help reduce sagging, dark circles, and the appearance of fine lines.
