The Nocturne Set by Tenth Muse contains two solid perfumes, 0.1 Date Night and 0.6 Vanilla Afterglow, along with the case in Clay, a warm beige.
Vanilla runs through both scents, simply leading in different directions. Date Night is floral, with peach, peony and rose over an earthy base of patchouli and vetiver. Vanilla Afterglow is rounder and woodier: bergamot and orange at the start, followed by amber, tonka and sandalwood. One case and two refills allow for a change depending on whether a floral or woody scent is preferred. Also a good choice as a gift.
Both balms are based on shea butter, jojoba oil and beeswax and are alcohol-free. According to the manufacturer, the scent lasts six to seven hours; one refill lasts approximately three months with twice-daily application. The metal case is plastic-free and outlasts many refills.
