Italian Summer by Tenth Muse is a solid perfume with notes of dark fruits and warm spices, free from candy sweetness.

The scent opens with notes of pomegranate, plum and rhubarb: juicy and dark with plum and tart rhubarb. Cloves and pink pepper follow, while guaiac wood gives the fragrance a warm, slightly smoky quality. Amber, patchouli and musk provide a rounded finish. Despite its name, Italian Summer is not a light summer fragrance. It evokes a long evening as the heat subsides, making it ideal for autumn.

The alcohol-free balm is based on shea butter, jojoba oil, and beeswax. It melts upon application, staying closer to the skin than a spray would. According to the manufacturer, the fragrance lasts for six to seven hours and one refill lasts for around three months with twice-daily application. The balm comes without a case but fits into the Tenth Muse metal case, which is available separately in five colours.

Warm the balm briefly with your fingertip and dab it onto your wrists, the sides of your neck or behind your ears. In its case, the fragrance fits in any bag and can be reapplied throughout the day.
