Clean Girl by Tenth Muse is a solid perfume with a fresh, citrus-floral scent reminiscent of freshly washed cotton and warm skin.
Top notes of blackcurrant, grapefruit and orange open bright and sparkling. Lily of the valley, jasmine and rose follow in the heart notes, which are more green and airy than lush. Vanilla, cedarwood and musk lead to a soft, clear base that is reminiscent of laundry dried outdoors. The blackcurrant gives Clean Girl a tart note that distinguishes it from a mere laundry fragrance. It remains subtle enough for the office.
The balm is based on shea butter, jojoba oil and beeswax, and is free from alcohol. It melts upon application and stays closer to the skin than a spray. According to the manufacturer, the scent lasts six to seven hours and a refill lasts approximately three months with twice-daily application. The balm comes without a case but fits into the Tenth Muse metal case, which is available separately in five colours.
